Live Constructions playlist for 05/30/2010

This Sunday night Tarek Atoui was in-studio and played a live set. We then spoke about his musical aesthetics, inspiration, political and social consciousness, and training, as well as his medium. We discussed the autonomy computer music grants the artist as well as the uses of software and programs specific to compositions. Coming off of a performance at the New Museum and a smaller, very different show at Silent Barn, Atoui is off to Europe and the Middle East for a wide range of performances and residencies.
