An exclusive look at the life and career of German mezzo-soprano Christa Ludwig. On January 16, Kammersängerin Ludwig spoke to Stepan Atamian at the Blakely Hotel about her work in opera, oratorio, and lieder over her impressive five decades on the stage.

All Oktavian excerpts were on the EMI Classics recording with Herbert von Karajan leading the Philharmonia Orchestra; soloists also included Elisabeth Schwarzkopf (soprano), Teresa Stich-Randall (soprano), and Eberhard Wächter (baritone).
