This Afternoon New Music focused on the music of John Wiese. Wiese is in the middle of a tour of the East Coast with his group Sissy Spacek, having had two shows in New York this past weekend and heading up the coast to do several shows in New England. The pieces we listened spanned a wide range, from free improvisational work to harsh noise.

This evening Boston-based composer and musician Brendan Murray joined us in studio to play a live electronics set. After the set, Murray discussed the new direction of his music, upcoming projects, and his recent, both past and future, collaborations and shows. We also listened to some tracks from a 2009 release.
