Architect John Locke discusses his recent “Parasite Book Share” project, through which he has installed mini libraries into telephone booths throughout the Upper West Side. Mr. Locke elaborates on his motivation for pairing payphones with books – both of which are obsolete and evoke nostalgia – and dips into his interest in breathing new life into wasted urban space.
