Saturday Night at the Opera: Hector Berlioz Extravaganza!

Saturday, July 30, 2011 9:00pm: The next Saturday Night At The Opera is centered around the works of Hector Berlioz. With excerpts from Romeo Et Juliette, Les Troyens, and La Damnation de Faust, the program will explore both the fascinating dramatic aspects of these rarely performed works as well as the unique qualities of the Berlioz mezzo-soprano. Featured singers on these recordings include Olga Borodina, Ben Heppner, and the late Lorraine Hunt Lieberson. Hosted by Katie Salmon and Stepan Atamian.
