Summer Congressional Internship Stipend Application Deadline--March 9th!!

Please be advised that the application deadline for the 2011 Summer Congressional Internship Stipend offered by the Office of Government and Community Affairs is Friday, March 9.

Funds are limited and are only available to students eligible for financial assistance. In order to be eligible, applicants must be students of Columbia College, the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, or the School of General Studies.

This is a terrific opportunity for students who might otherwise be unable to consider interning in Washington, DC.

This year's online major declaration period runs from March 5 to March 9.

Students who would like to be considered for the Creative Writing major MUST submit an application to the Creative Writing Department in 617 Kent Hall no later than Monday, February 27th, at 5pm.

An application consists of (1) a cover sheet and (2) a writing sample.

(1) The cover sheet, which  requires you to declare a proposed concentration (fiction, nonfiction, or  poetry) is available in the undergraduate creative writing office in 617 Kent.
