New Anthropology Course in Zooarchaeology!
Please note that there is a first time course offering in Zooarchaeology: Method and Theory (ANTH V3714x). It has been several years since a course in zooarchaeology has been available to students!
The course is once week every Friday from 2:10-5:00pm with Professor Adam Watson.
The course emphasizes laboratory methods such as skeletal anatomy, comparative morphology, and metrical analysis and will examine archaeological case studies from Old World and New World archaeology that underscore the value of zooarchaeology as an essential line of inquiry within the field. By providing students with a greater depth of understanding of this fundamental archaeological research method, the course complements other courses that address world archaeology, societal development, and general laboratory methods.
