2014-15 MAAB Application

The Multicultural Affairs Advisory Board (MAAB) is a group comprised of a broad-representation of students from Columbia College, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, and the School of General Studies who work collectively toward continually enhancing the programs and services of the Office of Multicultural Affairs, evaluating the needs of our diverse undergraduate student population, identifying relevant campus issues, and promoting a campus environment of inclusion, self-awareness, intercultural engagement, and social responsibility. 

Applications not submitted by 5pm on Friday, March 28, 2014 and/or applications that are incomplete will not be considered.

Involvement and Activities
In addition to any work experience, your resume should include campus involvement. Campus involvement may include student organizations, OMA programs (e.g. SOCLR, LGBTQA Retreat, SisterCircle, CMI), campus leadership positions, office-based programs (e.g. MPE, ELP, COOP, CUE), academic research and teaching, and community service work organized by the University.
Please include both on and off campus activities.

Requirements and Verification
I must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student in Columbia College, General Studies, or School of Engineering and Applied Science and in good University standing in order to participate in the MAAB. If I am a MAAB member, I am required to attend retreats/planning meetings at the beginning of each semester, and weekly meetings that are scheduled for Monday nights, 7:30pm-8:30pm, during the Fall 2014 and Spring 2015 semesters.
