First Year Immersion Program Lottery Application

Thank you so much for your interest in participating in the First Year Immersion (FYI) Program!

About

The First Year Immersion Program (FYI), taking place Saturday, August 31 through Sunday, September 1 (during New Student Orientation Program (NSOP), aims to expose first-year students to specific aspects of Columbia and New York City communities, as well as to students who may have similar interests and passions. Throughout the weekend, students will explore one of three themed communities in a variety of ways including workshops, performances, and opportunities to connect with current students. This year, there are three themes to choose from: Dance, Theater and Visual Arts. Students will be able to immerse themselves in their chosen theme with other students interested in that theme.

This program is overseen by Undergraduate Student Life during the weekend of the New Student Orientation Program.
