Dean Babb is recognized for his leadership within the Columbia Club Sport community and in the Biology department at Columbia. For the past 3 years, he has been involved in the leadership of the Columbia Tennis Club, but this past year, he has worked hard as the president with the opening of the new Milstein Tennis Center. With the support of his eboard, the tennis club has become a community for many tennis enthusiasts to enjoy the sport and come together for fun, social, and competitive events. On the academic side, Dean has been a TA of Contemporary Biology Lab to Professors Ava Brent and Joshua Abrams for the past 2 years and has enjoyed guiding fellow biology and premed students through the concepts of fetal pig physiology and biochemical lab techniques.
It is an honor to be recognized by my peers, mentors, and Columbia University. I'd like to express my gratitude to everyone who nominated me from both academic and extracurricular communities for believing in me, supporting me, and giving me opportunities to grow and learn. Thank you so much!
