Inclusion and Advocacy
Gloria is a senior studying Political Science and Women’s and Gender Studies. She is being recognized for her commitment to criminal and reproductive justice at Columbia and the United States. During her time at Columbia, she has served as the campaigns lead of the Columbia-Barnard chapter of The Remedy Project. TRP is an organization that uses administrative remedy advocacy and public advocacy to bring attention to the human rights crises occurring within the U.S. prison system. She has also been a part of the Reproductive Justice Collective, working to pass RJC’s NY-Wide Abortion Pills on Campus bill at SUNYs and CUNYs, bringing medication abortion to Columbia and Barnard’s campuses.
