To the Recommender:
New Student Orientation Program (NSOP) Crew Chiefs and Orientation Leaders should have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, energy, self-direction, institutional pride, and ethusiasm for assisting with Orientation and welcoming new students to Columbia and Barnard. Applicants should have experience or be familiar with the Orientation program as well as have a working knowledge of the First-Year and Transfer academic programs and Columbia-Barnard campus life.
Applicants must be in good academic and behavioral standing to apply for this leadership position with a minimum 2.75 GPA. They must also be current Juniors, Sophomores, or First-Year students.
Your evaluation of this applicant and his/her ability to serve as a strong and consistent rule model for his/her peers is an important component of our selection process.
For Crew Chief applicants, we need the evaluation by Sunday, March 4 at 10 PM.
For Orientation Leader applicants, we need the evaluation by Sunday, April 8 at 10 PM.
