Born and raised in Maine, Sue holds a B.A. in Russian area studies from Hobart and William Smith Colleges and an M.A. in higher and postsecondary education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She began her higher education career as assistant field hockey coach at MIT, and more recently worked with parents and families in Columbia's office of Student and Family Support. Sue lives with her small family in Harlem, just a short walk from campus. Her hobbies include outdoor sports, baking, and planning road trips.
