Fraternity and Sorority Life

Fraternities and sororities have been a part of the Columbia University community for over 175 years. Our office supports the self-governed fraternity and sorority community on campus and works with students to fully embody the values of Residential Life at Columbia: Engagement, development, responsibility, inclusivity and learning.

Fraternity and sorority membership can be one of the most enriching experiences a student can have. Membership into one of our values-based chapters provides students with a close community of peers. Through leadership development, learning, philanthropy and civic engagement, students grow and thrive.
