SFT Columbia is a chapter of the international organization, Students for a Free Tibet, advocating for the independence of Tibet from the People's Republic of China's occupation through education, grassroots organizing, and nonviolent direct action. On top of this mission, SFT Columbia aims to build a community for incoming and continuing Tibetan students at Columbia, as well as students interested in learning more about Tibet's current situation, history, and unique culture.
