Parents and Families

Whether you live abroad or in the United States, issues like travel to campus, visa applications, what to pack, living on campus during school breaks, and how to stay in touch across time zones will likely be confronted by the entire family. International at Columbia works to provide parents and families with necessary and useful information about your student’s experience coming to and living at Columbia.  As part of Columbia Student Affairs, and in collaboration with Parent and Family Programs as well as other university resources, International at Columbia is a source of information for all aspects of the Columbia experience. International at Columbia is here to aid students and their families regarding these topics and others that may arise throughout the academic year and University breaks.

Connect with International at Columbia at Summer Advising Sessions, Family Orientation, International Student Orientation Program (ISOP), Convocation, New Student Orientation Program, Parent and Family Weekend, Days on Campus, and Class Day. Additionally, programming and services will be offered throughout a student’s experience on- and off-campus, and you are encouraged to visit this page throughout the year to read about news and events.
