David Binney for the Musician's Show

Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - 6:00pm to 9:00pm

Tune in to the Musician's Show, Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00 - 9:00 PM EST for a live interview with alto-Saxophonist David Binney, a prolific and musician in the New York jazz scene. Binney was celebrated by Jazz Times as one of a handful of “players who have created an alternative jazz scene… all of whom are playing adventurous, original music.” David’s distinctive saxophone sound and innovative compositions have been heard from basement clubs in New York to jazz festivals in Europe and the world. He has produced all of his own 22 albums, and in addition to his extensive work as a leader, he has been sought after as a sideman, appearing on records with Medeski, Martin & Wood, Uri Caine’s Mahler Project and others. David has also performed with Aretha Franklin, at Carnegie Hall, and with Maceo Parker. Binney performs regularly at the 55 Bar in New York City. His most album “The Time Verses” will be released February 17.
