Tune in this Wednesday at 11:59pm to listen to an interview with Marisa Monte and Arto Lindsay. They will be performing on May 1st and 2nd at the Opera House of the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) the show Samba Noise, an exclusive musical project crafted for BAM. Marisa Monte is from Rio de Janeiro and has a unique singing style with influences from samba, pop and experimental music. Arto Lindsay is American, now radicated in Brazil, and was a member of the avant-garde group DNA. He has been important in the Brazilian music scene inside and outside of Brazil, producing four Marisa Monte albums, Caetano Veloso's album "O Estrangeiro" (The Stranger), besides releasing in the US, in collaboration with David Byrne, an important compilation of Brazilian music. Both interviews were conducted in Portuguese.
