Submitted by Eric "The Wind" I... on Tue, 19 Jul 2011, 12:25pm
Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami (b. 1949) is obsessed with classical and jazz. Accordingly, his novels are filled with music from the likes of Charlie Parker, Franz Schubert, Albert Ayler, and JS Bach. Tune in to Cereal Music to hear the classical music that inspires Murakami's characters, followed by an Out to Lunch broadcast featuring the jazz found in Murakami's novels.
