WKCR announces an exciting addition to February 2024 programming: a 24-hour broadcast on FM and HD radio and online, from 12:00am on Saturday, February 10th, to 12:00am on Sunday, February 11th, of 2024. It will run from the conclusion of the The Mambo Machine on Friday until Saturday Night at the Opera at 12:00am on Sunday. The broadcast will preempt all regularly-scheduled Saturday programming.

On the first day of the lunisolar and lunar calendars, WKCR will celebrate the Year of the Dragon by airing music from East and Southeast Asia, with each programmer choosing their tunes and genres within the wide theme of the broadcast. We at WKCR hope that the broadcast will bring a beautiful soundtrack to Saturday, with both traditional and experimental music playing all day and programmers who are excited to take part. Happiest of new years to listeners who celebrate, with love from all of us at the station!

The broadcast will feature live programming as well as selections from the WKCR library that have not been aired for some time.
