When can I arrive on campus?

  • General arrival: Monday, August 25, 2014 (Check-in 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.)
When you register for NSOP, you will also select the two-hour block of time of your preference to move into your residence hall.
  • International students and students from distant states (10+ driving hours):

In the summer, you will receive a notification email from the Housing Office with your housing assignment and a link to register to attend NSOP and select your move-in time block on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Please direct housing-related questions to the Housing Office.

Are there shuttle services from local airports to campus?
There are no shuttle services from the airport to campus, but cabs are readily available. Ask the driver to take you to "Columbia University at 116th and Broadway."

When will I receive information about moving in if I'm participating in COÖP, CUE, or the International Student Orientation Program (ISOP)?
If you're participating in one of these special programs, you'll get an email informing you of your acceptance and your alternate move-in date.

What should I do if I must arrive before Monday, August 25, 2014?
If you must arrive before the general move-in date, are not participating in a special program, and do not have special permission from the Housing Office, you will need to secure off-campus accommodations.
