Indigenous Peoples' Day

To celebrate Columbia's inaugural Indigenous Peoples' Day, Multicultural Affairs and Native American Council are hosting a mini lecture series, movie screenings and more.

We encourage you to not only engage in the opportunities offered in this and coming weeks, but also to explore those that exist throughout the year. You can participate in events hosted by Native American Council and Mālama Hawaiʻi; connect with Manhattan House; take a class or attend a lecture on Native American Studies/Indigenous Studies in Columbia’s Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race; and learn more about the Indigenous Peoples’ Rights Program offered through Columbia’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights.

Monday, October 12 at 6:00 p.m. EDT via Zoom

This annual lecture is tribute to Ella Cara Deloria, a prominent Yankton Sioux educator, anthropologist, ethnographer, linguist and 1915 graduate of Teachers College. Register to attend.

Movie Screening

Registration is required.
