The Center for Student Advising hosts programs and events and provides specialized advising for various populations.
Academic Success Programs (ASP) provides a holistic approach to student development through a network of comprehensive programs and services. Through an array of retention-based opportunities, transitional programming, tutoring, skill-building seminars, educational and personal advising, and mentoring programs, ASP participants receive supportive services throughout their college experience.
Columbia Undergraduate Scholars Program (CUSP) provides named Scholars with enhanced academic and cultural opportunities unique to a great research university in the heart of Manhattan. Designed to support and enrich the Scholars' college experience through active exploration of University and New York City resources, the Program incorporates research activities in a variety of disciplines, and offers internship opportunities as well as on- and off-campus activities which encourage the development of student potential.
Transfer Students: incoming transfer students have distinctive needs and questions with regard to credit, exemptions, and graduation.
Combined Plan programs: The 3-2 and 4-1 programs offer undergraduate students from Columbia College and SEAS the opportunity to earn both a bachelor of arts degree from Columbia College (CC) and a bachelor of science degree from Columbia Engineering (SEAS) in five years.
Howard-Spelman Exchange: Columbia University is pleased to offer undergraduate students in Barnard College, Columbia College, and Columbia Engineering the opportunity to participate in a domestic exchange program with prominent historically black college and universities, Howard University (Washington, D.C.), and Spelman College (Atlanta, Georgia).
