Timeline

Application Year

Spring Semester:

• Check application status at schools if a completed file confirmation has not been received.

• Attend the session on “Financing Law School” in late January or early February.

• File early Federal Income Tax forms and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. The FAFSA is available on January 1.

• Complete any additional school-specific financial aid forms or scholarship applications.

• Attend “Admitted Student Days” to help make decisions about where to matriculate.

• Waitlisted applicants should submit additional information if still interested in the school.

• Start making decisions about where to attend and notify schools if no longer interested in attending.

• Notify the Office of Preprofessional Advising and recommenders of outcomes of applications and final decision. Don’t forget to thank your recommenders!
