Timeline
Year Prior To Application
<!--Session data-->Spring Semester:
If planning to take the LSAT in June, begin preparing early in the semester. Practice! Practice! Practice! Applicants may want to take a commercial preparation course or study on their own.
Applicants who think they may qualify for the LSAT fee waivers or for accommodated testing, should apply by the deadlines. Applicants may direct questions to an advisor in the Office of Pre-professional Advising.
Register early in the semester for the June or October LSAT. Early registrants have a better chance of being assigned to their first- or second-choice test center.
Read and become very familiar with the LSAT/LSDAS Registration and Information Book. Copies are available in the Office of Preprofessional Advising.
Attend campus sponsored alumni/ae law student and attorney panels.
Attend one of the sessions on the “Law School Application Process” in March or April and open a file with the Office of Pre-professional Advising.
Register with the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS).
Obtain a credit report to ensure that there are no errors. Credit reporting companies include Experian (888.397.3742); Equifax (800.685.1111); or Trans Union (800.916.8800). If students do have issues with credit, they should address these so that they will not interfere with their ability to obtain loans for law school.
Give referees LSDAS Letter of Recommendation Form and begin to have them submit their recommendation letters to LSDAS.
